Written by twelve extraordinary South African female writers, here lies a multilingual journey of loss experienced by women and children over multiple generations in an unequal and unjust society that has made way for violence to rob us of our bodies, minds, and languages.

This isiNdebele edition has been translated by Lindokuhle Mnguni.  Lindokuhle Mnguni is a South African performer, writer and a photographer. Born and raised in Tweefontein J(kwaNdebele) Mpumalanga Province. Her artistic journey began at an early age when she joined a community group called Siyanakekela Youth Centre; Where She was featured in a few shows, A Simple Life (2012) and The Village Ruler (2013) both written and directed by Sbusiso Mahlangu. She also took part in an extra-Curricular activity at TUT under drama to enhance her talent. She was also a part of the play called A Barren Woman, written and directed by Enock Themba Masilela where she played a lead role. She has won the 7th National Recite Your Own Poetry competition 2017/18. In 2019 she made it to top 10 at Wip & Vap poetry competition and won best female poet at KwaNdebele Poetry Awards. In 2020 She won a 2nd runner up position on KwaNdebele Poetry Competition, and a 1st runner-up at the first virtual Ndebele Student Association Poetry competition. She participated in a Word n Sound competition 2020, in 2022 she collaborated with Lindokuhle Mahlangu known as Lindokuhle Imbongikazi in publishing a Ndebele poetry book called Amakhambo. She is also featured in a song by Joshua Ncongwane called, Awutjhuguluki.
